Company Formations: Business Letters and Other Stationary

Company FormationWhen setting up a limited company, you may want to think about the printing of company stationary.  Whilst a large amount of correspondence is now carried out through electronic means, such as email, most companies still have to issue paper correspondence.  Where a company does so, the printing of stationary may cause a delay in getting the company up and running if not dealt with in the days following incorporation.

Business letters and other stationary cannot be printed until after the company incorporation, as some details such as the companies registered number, are not available until the company has been formed.  If you need the stationary urgently then you can design it and when the details required to finish it are available, then go ahead with the printing.  In most cases however, individuals tend to wait until after the formation of their company.

When designing stationary you should consider whether or not you need/should register for Value Added Tax (VAT).  If the company is going to be registered for VAT, all invoices must meet VAT requirements.

To begin your company formation with Wisteria Formations and appoint Wisteria to register your company VAT please go to: https://www.wisteriaformations.co.uk/uk_company_registration.

With your company formation you also receive a free one hour accountancy, tax and business advice meeting at our offices in London or over the phone if more convenient.  This can be very useful for new company formations as it will give you to discuss the issues that need to be dealt with, such as VAT registration limits, registering as an employer and putting accounting system in place.
