Step 5
At this stage you need to decide on how many shares you wish to issue and who you wish to allot the shares to. We set the nominal value of shares for you as £1 and the default class of share is ordinary as these are the standard default for new private limited companies. However you can specify whether you would like the value or class of your share to be different from this default and we will contact you to arrange this once you have completed our online company registration process.

Most small companies have one class of share, and you must have a minimum of one issued share as a private limited company limited by shares.
Remember that you can change your share classes and issue new shares after your company formation, as long as your articles do not prohibit you from doing so.
As part of the company registration you will need to state the name and address of the shareholder/s and how many shares you would like to issue to them.
Step 6
Step 6 requires us to obtain some electronic certification information – we do this by taking some personal identification data from all directors, the company secretary and shareholders of the company. This electronic certification information required is your eye colour, town of birth and your mother’s maiden name. This information is held confidentially and only provided to Companies House as part of the incorporation process.
