UK Company Formations: What is a company register and what are its requirements?

Company RegistrationBy law all private limited companies in the UK are required to keep an up to date version of their company register, starting from when your company incorporation is completed.

A company register is a record of all of the agents and subscribers of the company and other important company documents. Some of the most important information that needs to be included in your company register is:

  • Register of directors and secretaries
  • Register of members and their particulars
  • Minutes of board meetings
  • Record of issued Share certificates

It is a legal requirement to keep the company register up to date and available for inspection.

If you have not formed a company before, you may not be aware of the requirements.  Wisteria Formations can help you, either by acting as your professional company secretary or by providing you with a completed company register at the point of incorporation.  These options can be selected when incorporating your company.

Wisteria Formations includes an electronic copy of your company register as part of the basic formation service. You can begin you online company formation here: http://www.wisteriaformations.co.uk
